Jeff Hway

Jeff Hway - Associate Broker, has a genuine love for the lakes and forests of northeastern Minnesota, and the Ely area in particular. A graduate of Loyola University of Chicago, Jeff left the big city in 1978 seeking a better quality of life in the northwoods in Ely, MN. He enjoyed 20 years outfitting visitors for wilderness canoe trips into the BWCAW and Quetico Provincial Park from his resort and canoe trip base on Moose Lake - 20 miles NE of Ely. As a resort owner and canoe trip outfitter, he introduced many people to the natural wonders of this unique area. After selling the resort, Jeff joined Bear Island Land Co. in 1998 and works full-time to unite people with that special piece of property they are seeking.

Jeff is past-president of the Ely Chamber of Commerce, and also the Scoutmaster for Ely's Boy Scout Troop. He, and his wife, Donna, and their 4 sons live on their 160 acre homestead a few miles south of Ely.
